谷歌股价在中国执照获延长后突涨

谷歌的股价星期五猛涨，稍早前谷歌和中国政府解决了围绕审查问题的争端，北京延长了这个搜索引擎在中国的营运执照。

有一度，谷歌的股价上涨了将近4%，而它在中国的对手百度的股价则急剧下跌。

谷歌是世界上使用最普遍的网上搜索系统，但是在中国，百度拥有三分之二的市场。

彭博财经通讯社报导说，谷歌在今年头几个月和中国政府争执不下时，它在中国的市场占有率从略微超过35%下跌到小于31%。

目前，中国市场只占谷歌营业额的一小部分。但是中国有大约四亿因特网使用者，有人估计，这个数字会在几年内翻倍。

Google's stock price rose sharply Friday shortly after the company and China's government resolved a dispute over censorship and Beijing renewed the search engine's license to operate in China.

At one point, Google's share price was up nearly four percent, while shares of Chinese rival Baidu dropped sharply.

Google is the world's most widely-used system of searching the web, but in China, Baidu has about two-thirds of the market.

The financial news service Bloomberg reports that Google's market share in China fell from a bit more than 35 percent to less than 31 percent in the first few months of this year while the company was at odds with the government.

Currently, China accounts for only a small part of Google's revenue. But China has around 400 million internet users and one estimate says that number could double in a few years.
