中国驳斥美国对中国侵犯知识产权的指责China Rejects US Criticism of Intellectual Property Theft
中国商务部说，中国对美国决定继续把中国放在知识产权的“重点观察国名单”上的决定感到遗憾。商务部发言人姚坚星期三在北京说，中国政府敦促美国对 中国保护知识产权的努力进行“更加全面、客观和公平的评估”。他说，中国政府一直高度重视知识产权保护，北京希望美国加强在这一问题上的合作。

China's Commerce Ministry says it regrets the United States' decision to keep the country on a priority watch list for intellectual property theft. Ministry spokesman Yao Jian said Wednesday in Beijing that his government urges the U.S. to make a "more comprehensive, objective and fair assessment" of China's efforts to protect intellectual property rights. He says his government has always placed great importance on intellectual property rights, and that Beijing hopes the U.S. will enhance its cooperation on the issue.
On Monday, the U.S. Trade Representative issued an annual report on how well the country's trading partners protect intellectual property - works such as books, movies, software and music, as well as drug formulas and clothing designs.
The report notes continuing concerns about widespread product piracy and counterfeiting in China, as well as Chinese laws that discriminate against U.S. exporters. The report, however, did say that China had made some progress in protecting intellectual property.
